We’re now 100% funded!

We want to take a moment just to say thank you to everyone who has taken the time to support us, and to back us. Without you, Red Dawn: Into the Dawnlands could not exist as a campaign setting.

We have 17 days remaining in the campaign and we have some fantastic stretch goals in the pipeline. This includes several adventure modules, more art, more maps, backgrounds, and some very exciting extras we’re not quite ready to talk about yet.

We are continuing on with the City-State introductions with Tyrus!

Tyrus the City of Iron.

Tyrus is dictated by the militaristic Sorcerer King named General Kane. The City of Iron, is a breeding ground for the highly respected and most feared warriors in the Dawnlands. It is the only city with a standing army, known as the Iron Guard. So named for their metal weapons, armour, and shields. Made up of citizens, all of whom are drafted for a minimum of five cycles.

Clean edges of its utilitarian barracks-style buildings arrayed in perfectly straight grid patterns. Wide boulevards leading past monumental symbols of victories over the centuries. All converging on Brightblades square, the central parade square for the Iron Guard. Over looking the square, the Dias sits atop the entrance to the Palace Command Centre.

A world scorched by twin suns. Devoid of hope. Ravaged by corruption.

One oath may bring with it salvation.

We’ve been told tales around the fire
and some tales hold true
from what I’ve seen conspire
I hold the flame and ignite the fire

You see, We’ve been told so much we have forgotten
We’ve been told the twins will be our doom
and the fires of Khesh and Ghal shall all consume
We’ve been told we must follow or tyrannical masters
by the whip we toil faster and faster

We’ve been told those who rule from the throne within the spires
We shall ignite the flames destroying the oppressors and the liars
We’ve been told of their corruption and greedy desires
for that they shall burn in the twins eternal fires

We are tired of being told!

We give thanks to the twins for burning the lies
We give thanks for opening our blinded eyes

Krull The Crater City

Dominated by ruthless Sorcerer King Quintus who proclaims himself the ‘One True God’ of The Dawnlands, the Crater City burrows deep into a web of tunnels and caverns surrounding the base of the larger of two twin crater impact sites in a former lakebed.

In this mostly subterranean city the residents, who are commonly referred to as ‘Crater Moles’, rarely see the light of day. Some have even come to believe that the moles have mutated, and would certainly turn to dust if exposed to direct sunlight for an extended period of time. Others believe this to be a misinformation campaign created by King Quintus as a method of keeping his population under control and underground. Combined with strict water rationing, capital punishments and orthodox religious practices, and enforcement by brutal Templars Krull is widely considered to be the most restrictive of the City-States.

RED DAWN: INTO THE DAWNLANDS is a fifth edition campaign setting set in a world of extremes. Where once lush and powerful magical kingdoms have fallen to centuries of greed and calamity, leaving behind the Dawnlands and its vast desert wastelands of corruption, brutality and suffering.

In Red Dawn you will find a world full of disturbing sights from mutated creatures, to powerful tyrannical monarchs and ruthless barons. If you’re a Game Master this book will help you create a campaign set in a world where existence is a struggle in upon itself. Setting your entire campaign within one district of the Dawnlands City States or create a story that extends across the wastelands, through the dry seabeds and out into the uncharted Dusklands.

You will also find new races, new subclasses, altered spells, monsters, rules for Ravager & Replenisher magic, psionics, and deep lore providing many options for campaigns of all types within this deep yet desolate landscape.

Red Dawn: Into the Dawnlands
COMING SOON TO KICKSTARTER!

We’re excited to introduce the first of the City-States within the Dawnlands. Over the coming weeks we’ll be sharing these brief overviews to give you a feel for life within the homes of each Sorcerer King & Queen.

TAAR – The City of Ivory!

Sculpted and refined by the mad Sorcerer King Arramath, The City of Ivory, is as much a place to live and suffer as it is a canvas for its patron King, under constant change depending on his moods and the inspiration he draws from his various muses.

The Artists Retreat sits high atop Mount Strand, a humble home on a lush green lawn with a flowing brook leading to a beautiful waterfall, the entire plateau feels almost as if ripped out of another time and transplanted to this otherwise desolate landscape. In stark contrast on the mountainside below stands the largest Pyramid in The Dawnlands. An ornately carved perfectly symmetrical monument to The Twelve, a group of heroes carved in the visage of the King, and so revered that their very memory guides the city even now a thousand years after their loss. Although some quietly believe that they never existed the king is often heard remarking that he will not allow there to be a thirteenth.
