This is a Scavenger Mummy. They lose limbs due to the harsh desert environments. Controlling their wrappings with magic, they bind loose objects or severed limbs to their frames so that they can remain mobile in the sands.

The Holy Mother Avinashi Pavitra 🏳️‍🌈 is head of the Church of Seven in Rise of the Black Coven. She suspects something is amiss in Alexandria, and fears the forces moving in the shadows. To investigate her suspicions, she sends her champion and lover, Jessa Avira to Saedril to route out the forces at work there. She worries she may have been too slow to act, and awaits the arrival of brave player characters to help her!

Avinashi was really fun to develop. Her designs are by the amazing . We wanted to include women of colour in positions of power and religious significance, but needed to develop the cultural identity of Alexandria separate from established religions and cultural signifiers. The one hold over would be her name, which is hindi for indestructible and holy. Since english language names often have meanings in this vein, we decided to keep it.

Also, it was important for us to have a q***r religious head in the story. Avinashi was destined to be our le***an pope from day one.

More dungeons to explore. The western seaboard of Alexandria is filled with optional dungeons when you play Rise of the Black Coven. This happens to be the layout of hidden catacombs beneath a monastery, forgotten for centuries.

Rise of the Black Coven features quite a few dungeons. One of the best comments we've received is that our dungeons are snappy and don't overstay their welcome.

Here is a the Stone Shrine dedicated to Orobos, the Mountain King, one of the Archfey of Alexandria. This dungeon is optional under most scenarios of the campaign, but may be the home of a powerful artifact under the right conditions.

Your players will have to be clever, nimble, fierce, and also humble to overcome the challenges within. Used as a trial for warriors of the mountain, it's used as a coming of age challenge for the indigenous people of the north.

The Trials of Dawn is what amounts to the "final dungeon" in the Rise of the Black Coven campaign. Though, through non linear gameplay, your party could challenge it relatively early. Each branch of the dugeon focuses on different aspects of gameplay, from puzzle solving, to roleplay, to combat.

The campaign is "pay what you want", while print and digital versions of all battlemaps are a nominal fee.

The tidal caves are a dungeon in Rise of the Black Coven where you'll encounter the Great Hag of Westgate. She's one of our favorite villains, terrorizing the western seaboard of Alexandria. Battle maps are also available as print files and vttrpg files!

So I was busy yesterday and forgot about !

Here we have some artwork currently in development for our next Kickstarter. As always this is brought to you by the incredibly talented . I can't wait to see the finished piece! To say we're excited is an understatement.

We will be serving up four bone chilling adventures themed around the undead. One adventure will be a stand-alone one-shot dungeon for mid-level play (10-12), while our other three are a connected narrative that'll see players start at level 1, and reach those mid levels by the end!

Spooky season is just around the corner...
