"Mozhgan Mahjoob is an Afghanistan-based poet and writer whose authentic storytelling– highlighting how the supernatural isn’t just a tool for escapism, but a reflection of the real-word forces that govern lives– is a revolutionary act. On Sunday, February 23, join us for the annual Book & Print Fair from 11 am to 4 pm at the Art Gallery of Guelph. The event is free! This year, over 60 vendors will be joining us, including our friends at the Q***r Print Project (QPP), who will be hosting a live screenprinting demonstration.

The Q***r Print Project is an initiative founded by Anna Gaby-Trotz and Jude Akrey to create a safe space for 2SLGTBQIA+ students at the University of Guelph to gather and make art together. We will be printing t-shirts as well as posters that represent q***r hope and resilience.

All weekend — Masks are encouraged, and some will be available at the door. The organizers also encourage vendors and guests to stay home if they feel unwell. Please reduce the use of scented products (e.g., perfume and cologne) for this event. Please note that the Book & Print Fair event space is accessible by both a ramp and stairs leading to the front entrance, with stair and elevator access to the washrooms.
