The important part of folk songs is their acceptance by a community. Folk songs tend to change as they are passed from one individual to another and performed. Because folk songs are oral storytelling devices, there is no standard set of rules. In each region of a country, community, village, family or individual there may be significant differences. A common tradition with folk songs is to include a verse about someone in the crowd or even about the singer themselves to make the song unique to the performer. #YQUFilm #mermaidsvale #SeaShanty

Tip for Filming in Water: Have A Safety Plan On the set of Lord of the Rings, Viggo Mortensen almost drowned while floating down a river. He got caught in a current and disappeared from the surface. His armor, costuming, and weapons held him down. The actor was able to pull himself free and just before breaking the surface relaxed his body to remain in character. #safetyfirst. #mermaidsvale #YQUFilm
