The Stephenfield Provincial Park is located in the RM of Dufferin, 22 kms west of the town of Carman on PR 245. Nestled beside the Boyne River, this is a pretty place for a family vacation. Have you stopped by Manitoba’s Biggest Sturgeon Monument in Dominion City? The monument weighs 406 pounds and is 15.5 feet long!

The monument is based on a 160 year old female sturgeon full of eggs. It was caught in Roseous River back in 1903 by Sandy Waddell. It was hauled home in a seven-foot democrat by a team of horses, five feet of this monster fish were still trailing on the ground when they were hauling it! Cool, right?!
