How time flies! Remember these fixer-uppers? I recently had the pleasure of getting to catch up with Mira, who I last tattooed back when I was at Violet & Fern, way back in the distant year of 2021! The work we did for her has healed up immaculately, still looking just as good as it did the day we did them! And if you need proof of that, swipe right for what the dragon looked like before she let me at it!

When it comes to restoring old pieces, it's not always as easy as just running new ink over everything. There's a lot of thought and problem-solving that goes into interpreting the remains of an aged piece and then re-interpreting it into something new - giving it new life while also honoring what was there originally, so as not to lose the artistic integrity of the previous work. It's challenging in ways that standard tattooing isn't, but it's so rewarding in the long run to see it all pay off like this 🔥💖
