Our Story
Real Home Advice is both an online and print magazine catering to home and home owners.
Since 1947 with the discovery of oil and gas in Alberta, our provincial economy has and continues to rely squarely on volatile oil prices. With this, our economy flows through constant boom and bust cycles. With every boom, skilled laborers are in short supply, as many Albertans and Canadians flock to take advantage of hot real estate markets. Challenges arise here due to swings of the labour force.
In a booming economy, skilled contractors, builders, and professionals become blended with others trying to compete and take advantage of a hot market. This ground swell of mixed trades, skills, services, professional and otherwise, creates confusion for consumers, who if not sure who to work with, might end up paying the price.
Real Home Advice’s job is to filter the market, and point out the best in the industry, whether economic cycles are in a bust or boom. We educate consumers and help them make informed decisions on their most valued asset; their home. Real Home Advice will include close to fifty professions related to real-estate with articles, advice, research, which ultimately points you, the consumer, in the right direction.
Today core values towards professionalism, honesty and integrity, are of paramount importance in all commercial and industrial sectors of the economy. The real estate industry covers a vast array of trades; zeroing in on clarifying relationships between consumer and professional services and market is a real consideration. These are the principles upon which Real Home Advice brings to you the consumer, knowledge, know how and discernment when it comes to deciding how and why you proceed with new builds and renovations.
