It’s with great sadness, we mourn the tragic deaths of our friend Johnny Gaudreau and his brother Matthew Gaudreau.
Our hearts are broken by this devastating loss. Johnny was and always will be a member of the Flames family and loved by all of Calgary.
It was our privilege to call Johnny our teammate for nine amazing years in Calgary. He came to Calgary as a young man and grew up here, not only as a superstar on the ice, but also a beloved member of our community.
The pain we feel for Johnny’s wife Meredith, children Noa and Johnny, parents Jane and Guy, sisters Kristen and Katie, and the entire Gaudreau family is immense.
Ownership, management, players, and staff of the Calgary Flames express our heartfelt sympathies during their time of sorrow.
You are in our thoughts and prayers. ❤️

THE FINAL TOTAL for last Wednesday's Alberta Day of Caring for Jasper is in, and together with the help of Alberta Depot, we raised $2,919,474 for the Canadian Red Cross!

Every radio station in Alberta is joining together, to help support those affected by the Jasper Wildfire, through the Red Cross. This Wednesday, we'll be having a province-wide bottle drive from 9am-6pm with the proceeds going to the Red Cross and those impacted by the wildfires across Alberta.
You can bring your bottle donations to any Alberta bottle depot, and simply say “these are for Jasper” OR simply drop them off at our station parking lot, drive thru style, at 9894 42 Avenue.

We're starting to see some heartbreaking images coming out of Jasper, including this one of Maligne Lodge fully engulfed in flames. We will continue to provide updates from the Park over the next few hours. Our thoughts and prayer are with all of the residents who call Jasper home and all those who have fallen in love with the Park.
