As you gaze introspectively out the window this rainy day spare a thought for the good bands playing CJSR’s @sledisland showcase on Wednesday June 22 at Dickens. Pack your bags, that’s next week!

High Level Hip Hop is a podcast deep dive into Edmonton's hip hop scene and the artists helping shape it. It launches on August 10, 2021 with a double bill for your ears. Follow now on Spotify or listen live on CJSR FM 88.5, Tuesdays at 9 PM.
This podcast series is the product of a hard-working team of volunteers who have just come through CJSR's latest podcast bootcamp. Each episode features an interview with one of YEG's best MC's and a fresh track recorded by that artist this summer at CJSR, with support from our very own Miles Wilkinson. The series features original artwork by U of A alum Esther Dimalanta and original theme and background music by Sascha Liebrand.
Thanks to the Community Radio Fund of Canada / Fonds canadien de la radio communautaire for their financial support of this project.
Sorry for the interruption! Crews are working on our transmitter presently, so we will be off FM for a little bit this morning. In the meantime catch us online: http://cjsr.streamon.fm/

That's Food: Cake Testers
In this week’s episode of That's Food, podcast host and producer Bobby Kainth will be revealing the story behind…cake!
https://thatsfood.transistor.fm/episodes/is-cake-really-a-piece-of-cake
He first takes us through a blind taste test he conducted with two of his friends and then talks to one of the owners of The Art of Cake, Gloria Bednarz, and her assistant Christine Reeve, to discuss their journey in the cake business and their thoughts on the differences between inexpensive and expensive cakes. Is there a difference between an expensive cake and a cheap cake? Is it just the customization that’s expensive or is there a difference in flavour and quality? Can I make homemade cakes with great flavour without spending a lot of money? Bobby explores all of these questions and much more in this episode. Listen, like, follow on Apple Podcasts and Spotify. #cake #yegradio #yegpodcast #yegfoodie
