Covid hours and Holiday closure:
During “bend the curve” we are working from home as much as possible and rotating in-shop staff. Core shop hours are 9:30-4:00, although pickups/drop-offs during regular hours and on Saturdays are possible – call ahead. Book and art consultations must be scheduled.
PageMaster is following our tradition of closing for the holidays. We will be closed December 24 through January 3 and wish you the best. Stay creative and connected.

Although Covid-19 actions have taken their toll we are effectively open every day. Making that official with a few tweaks.

Daylight savings time change is probably the best time to change hours. Effective November 2: Opening earlier: 8:30 rather than 8:45. This time is usually quiet and let's us get a great start our day. Closing earlier: (5:00 rather than 5:30) Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Late Thursday: open until 6...

In this month of remembrance, its only fitting to bring to light one of our most amazing authors, Bob Tatz.

His book "Lost in the battle of Hong Kong" is about the extraordinary story of his life, Orphaned at age 7 in Hong Kong, then left to figure out the best way to navigate life through world war two.

Bob has credentials as a professional marine engineer, and remains a Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science, and Technology (UK).

44 years ago today, the St. Pius X High School shooting occurred. This was marked as the third shooting in Canada.

As we all know, school shootings have continued throughout time and throughout the world.

These sad events have inspired author Dave Ainsworth to write a preparedness book:
"Run, Hide, Don't Freeze!"

Dave has an expansive military and police background. During his time in the Special Operations Brand of the Greater Manchester Police Service he was awarded a “High Commendation for Outstanding Police Service.” He currently works as one of Edmonton’s leading advisers for “Active intruder” information and presentations.

His children’s book "Run, Hide, Don’t Freeze!" Provides practical advice for life-threatening situations.

According to LIFE Magazine, Frankenstein edition 1818-2018; Frankenstein was invented in a write night. 💁‍♂️

Due to bad weather around the world in 1816 from a month long volcanic eruption⛰ in 1815, a few friends named Bryon, Mary, Shelley and Polidori rented a villa together in Switzerlands Lake Geneva, and spent the entire vacation writing in the dark.👀🌌

That month there were many horror and ghost stories 👻written and read,🧐 one of them happened to be the great Frankenstein masterpiece.🧟‍♂️

As you know, we have a fall write nite coming up, and who knows what kind of great story could come out of that, the next masterpiece could be from you!
(But its just for fun, lets not get too crazy)

Then we have fabulous staff to help along in capture, proofreading processes, printing imposition and all that unfun techy stuff.

And last but certainly not least, we are now offering website creation (imagine, your name basically in lights... blue lights.. but that still counts!) as well as distribution on our book store, and third party sites (such as amazon and lightning source, no big deal).

Our mission is to have 5000 authors and artists successfully published by 2025.

PageMaster was founded in 1996 to provide a full range of publishing services, much like an ad agency provides marketing services. Design and building newspapers, magazine and other publications were the core business until Digital printing and book binding were added in 2001. Canvas fine art printing was added in 2007. To assist our authors we added an online bookstore 2012 (now at https://pagemasterpublishing.ca). In 2013 we moved out of the downtown core into a small industrial district and began offering studio space to creators.
