A little late on our morning post, but then we wouldn't have found this piece of serendipity!
Heard an interview with Canadian musician Rufus Wainwright on CBC this morning (yeah, we at Big E DO listen to other stations sometimes!), and then realized later it was his late mom Kate McGarrigle's birthday today. Wow - what a musical family - her sister Anna and then Kate's two kids, Rufus and Martha.

Sir Talks a Lot shifts up themes and covers all things COLD.
That's right. We're in a state of frozen.....something. Not Bliss.
But our songs in the next few episodes have a common theme of Winter, somehow.
Stay warm, get some cocoa, and dig the tunes!

Two Dudes In A Tune Mood at 8 PM MST
Evan's still on his own this week, but that's alright because today is his birthday! This week is all Evan's favourites in no particular order, that's the extent of the theme, it works. Selections from the song include City And Colour, Frightened Rabbit, Gary Clark Jr., Rage Against The Machine and more!

INAIGIWIG at 9 PM MST
As it appears the whole world has gone nuts, this week on INAIGIWIG we will be listening to "crazy" music...

Tuesday nights are magical on Big E! We have not one, not two, but THREE curated shows on Tuesday evenings!
And, did you know that all those curators are musicians in their own rights?
Steve - Sir-Talks-A-Lot from Serenderpity has played in several bands like Molly's Reach, and This Civil Twilight to name a few, but has just embarked on a new project - stay tuned for more on that!
Even and Quinton - the Two Dudes in a Tune Mood each play in a few bands including: Mt. Rotterdam, Becker, Tommy Jarvis, and Jr. Gone Wild.
Mike from It's Not All I Got, It's What I Got plays solo shows but of course his one constant has always been Jr. Gone Wild!
Tune in Tuesdays to hear this wealth of Edmonton musicians bring you terrific music.

Hello friends and happy Saturday night! Stay out of the cold tonight, and tune in to Edmonton's Big E Radio for this!

8:30pm - Noise Factor

This week is a rather interesting mix of new and old....I mean, at least I think so. We start in 2024 with a hot little number from Gadfly and the opening blast of four in a row is sure to please with DFA1979, Rott, and Isaak. After the new we'll mix it up with a little old with some vintage 2008 Meshuggah and if that's not old enough, we'll go back to 2000 and 1992, but those will be fun surprises. Edmonton sludge trio Highbernation makes an appearance and let's see if we can solve the caper of my missing page

10pm - Electropia
