This week we explore the remainder of the Centrediscs, some smaller/independent labels as well as Canadian musicians recording on international labels. Settle in for some Baroque, Classical, Romantic and New Music from some of Canada's best musicians including a few from YEG or AB - the Vaughan String Quartet, composers David Dykstra & Maria Thompson Corley, and Cree/Dene song creator Sherryl Sewepagaha

Powerlines hits like a hammer, swims like a storm, & bounces out of the room for more! Host Leah Wilson takes you on a journey of powerful in all shapes & sizes. Music that brings us all together like the powerlines that run down the road, why they are running, we have no idea. We celebrate the Edmonton composer Malcolm Forsyth (1936-2011) today and fête the 40th anniversary of the premiere of his orchestral work "Atayoskewin". This is probably one of his most popular pieces - which the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra premiered on this date - Nov. 16, 1984. Choosing this piece led to an all-Forsyth episode today. We have music by Forsyth for choirs, brass, harps, cello and saxophone
