Hey folks!

Over the past few years I’ve been getting a lot more mixing work sent to me from bands, especially since the beginning of the pandemic.

I started noticing a bunch of consistent troubles bands and artists would have with the sessions or files they were sending me. Whether it’s getting the files from their computer to mine, tracks not lining up right, or issues with the recordings themselves.

So I decided to start a blog over at schoolhousestudios.ca, where I dive into some of the most common issues I see, solutions to these issues as well as some other tips to help improve the songs you’ve been recording in your living room the past 2 years.

The first blog in the series is about consolidating your audio tracks when you’re done recording! Go give it a quick read, let me know your thoughts and any other topics you’d like to see covered!
