Good Afternoon Thunder Nation,

It has been 7 Days since I was told to cease using the Thunder Rock Radio name and threatened with Copyright/Trademark Infringement. I had a few people attempt to look up the claim on the Canadian Trademark Database provided by Service Canada and nothing came up. I asked the gentleman who put forward these threats to provide proof of the registered trademark but I have not heard back from him since.

So, to me, let's get back to business. I will turn the station back on tomorrow morning and we will work on getting everything back in order.

Ok, So Something wild happened tonight, and as I told the guy who contacted me. I guess I should look at it positively that I have garnered this much attention.

Evidently "Thunder Rock Radio" is a trademarked phrase in North America. I was warned about using the phrase on my social media and website. No legal action has been taken as of yet.

So, for now, I will temporarily change the name of the Facebook and Insta pages and will be turning off the stream while we come up with a new name for this thing. Suggestions are welcome. Perhaps we go back to Parkland Power Radio????

Let me know in the comments what the new name of the station should be.

Thank you to all who are supporting this project. We will be back up and running in no time.

Mandatory Metallica has begun!! On air right now is the live performance with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra from 1999.

Don’t forget to join Towelie for a monsterous 4 hour live show starting at 1 pm. He will be taking you through a retrospective of the 40+ year careers of Metallica. Requests are welcomed come the second half of the show. So get those Metallica requests in now.

Good Morning Thunder Nation!

Reminder/Heads up that this Friday, April 14 is the release date for Metallica’s 11th studio album ‘72 Seasons.’ That afternoon, for my live show, I will playing nothing but Metallica in celebration.

An Afternoon of the best Metallica has to offer. And then at 5 PM, a special edition of ‘The big 5 at 5,’ I will play the new record ‘72 Seasons,’ in its entirety.

I think this will be a great and fun afternoon, and of course requests are welcome. What are your favorite Metallica songs? I’ll play them for you. So, be ready to headbang all afternoon long.

Lastly, if anyone would be interested in coming on air to talk about Metallica during the show with me, I think that would be really cool and fun to do. DM me and we can work out how to make that happen.

I went to see a Dr. this week. Imagine that, got some medicine and I can breath again. So, why don't we get back into the swing of things. Good Friday live show? I think it's a good idea.
