This last minute, impromptu session with the gorgeous .mua did not disappoint y’all! 😍🔥 Can you believe we got all of these shots in under 5min?! 🤯 Don’t worry, the hot water lasts longer than that 😂 LOL We just had to head back down to the lake to cool off after getting all of this spicy content! 🌶️🔥😏📷✨

Well, it’s official y’all! I’ve finally left behind my Monday to Friday, 9 to 5 life to fully immerse myself into my passion and focus my energy on running my own business full time! It’s a huge adjustment that I am navigating at my own pace, but I am so excited and optimistic for the incredible opportunities ahead of me. 📷🌎✈️

Love was in the air at Linda and Steve’s intimate wedding reception… literally ✈️🤍

What an incredible way to kick off my first wedding of the year! 🤩 You would think the Canadian Forces Snowbirds were paid actors in this shot, but honesty, it was just PERFECT timing! While we were out taking couples portraits in the vineyards of 40 Knots Winery winery in Comox BC, we were surprised by the magnificent roar of the snowbirds taking flight overhead. It was pure magic!! ✈️✨

Melissa & Gordon

Capturing the love stories of strangers is always amazing, but having the opportunity to document a special milestone for a family member is simply PRICELESS!

On August 5th, 2023 my cousin Melissa said "I do" to her Prince Charming (Gordie) in the most magical ceremony Harrison Mills, BC had ever seen. Everything about this day was pure perfection - the dress, the shoes, the florals, the food, and of course the jaw-dropping venue (Rowena's Inn on the River) that encompassed all of the joy and love. You could tell that every detail had so much thought and care behind it. But the real showstopper was the undeniable love between Melissa & Gordie. Just the way these two gazed at each other from across the room left us all in puddles on the floor. SWOOOON!! Now that is true love.

I'm still pinching myself, almost a year later, to make sure this day wasn't just a dream. I'm forever grateful to have been able to document this magical day for Melissa & Gordie. They truly make the most incredible couple and I wish them all the best in their future together as husband and wife.

One of the most beautiful things about being a photographer/videographer is getting the opportunity to capture each special milestone in my clients life. 📷 I met Alisa & Mitchell a few years back, when they hired me to capture their gorgeous, west coast wedding in Ucuelet, BC! 🌊💍 From saying I do, to seeing that little pink line appear on a pregnancy test, I’ve been able to document their lives and capture all of the special moments along the way. It truly warms my heart every time I see a message from Alisa pop up in my inbox, ready to book their next session! One of my favourite parts about being a photographer/videographer is being able to capture real life people. These aren’t paid models with years of posing experience; they’re everyday people who have little to no experience being in front of a camera. AND 👏THAT’S 👏TOTALLY 👏 OKAY 👏!! So here are a few tips to help you relax and have fun during your session!

1. Pick an outfit that is comfortable and ultimately makes you feel confident. It doesn’t have to be a fancy dress or a suit and tie, it could be as simple as your favourite pair of jeans and/or t-shirt. Leave that itchy, tight sweater at home and wear something that feels like YOU! There’s no point wearing something that’s uncomfortable or could restrict your movement.

2. I know the big lenses and lights can sometimes be intimidating… but when you take all that away, it’s just me (Alyssa) behind the camera with absolutely ZERO judgement and endless amounts of encouragement! Let’s just hang out and have fun! 💕

3. Get your butt in front of that mirror and smile! It sounds simple but this is the best way to really understand what angles and poses make you feel the most comfortable and confident! Just don’t over think it. My shooting style is very natural and candid which means I will give you lots of prompts to keep you moving, relax those nerves and capture your true, authentic self. ✨

4. It can be too easy for us to doubt and second guess ourselves. For some reason, we are always our own toughest critics. Try to refrain from thinking these negative thoughts and instead be gentle with yourself. You are doing something outside of your comfort zone, which is already extremely impressive and should be applauded. Get it girl!! 👏👏

5. Let loose, have fun and embrace your weirdness. I can almost guarantee you won’t be changing your profile picture to a photo of you looking stressed and tense. Instead, let go of your insecurities, laugh, dance and enjoy the moment. I can assure you that when you’re going through your final gallery, your favourite shots will be the ones of you being carefree and truly having fun. 🤩

Over the weekend I had the honour of hiding in a wet bush, dressed in full camo attire, to secretly capture my cousin ‘s magical proposal. I can’t even begin to express how full my heart was being able to capture this moment. Normally I don’t go to this extent to capture a proposal, but I took every necessary measure to make sure that this was a complete and genuine surprise for her.
