Renting is NOT throwing money away.

It's buying you the time to prepare for homeownership.

Just because your mortgage payment might be less than your rent, doesn’t mean it’s the right time to buy. Homeownership comes with many more expenses beyond the monthly payment.

Believe me, being "house poor" is not something you want. Until you're truly ready to buy, renting is a smart and sensible choice.

Canadians waste a lot of money on the WRONG credit cards.

If you're in credit card debt, switching to a balance transfer card with a lower interest rate can save you a huge amount of money.

If you spend a lot and pay off your balance each month, choosing a card that earns you more rewards can mean hundreds of dollars extra each year.

Don't just assume the card from your bank is the best option for you!

Taylor Swift spending $100k flying private is kind of like the average person in Canada buying a $2 coffee every day.

Comparing yourself to celebrities is extremely bad for your mental health.

Becoming financially comfortable is within reach if you have the discipline to follow a plan and allow time for compound interest to work its magic.

You can set yourself up for an incredible life, and help your children and grandchildren too. But comparing yourself to what you see online is more likely to drive you to over spend and harm your own finances. Focus on the people in your life that actually matter!

It's Friday night! 🍺πŸ₯‚πŸΎ

If you're trying to get out of debt, the only time you should be inside a bar is if you're on the clock.

I appreciate a well-made cocktail and have no issue with the bar scene. The problem is, many people are struggling to pay their bills or save for the future because they're constantly out drinking.

Most people don’t realize how much money they waste by grabbing drinks after work or hitting the bars "every now and then."

I want people to enjoy life, and socializing at a bar can be a great way to do that. Just make sure it doesn't happen when you're financially strapped.

If you want to drink with your friends, it's a LOT cheaper to do it at home.
