Daina came to talk with me about what it takes to be a midwife & how the pandemic affected her mental health as a healthcare practitioner. We discussed birth of course and had a lot of laughs, I really really like this gal and her sense of humour, I know you will too!!

was introduced to me through YOU GUYS! I put up a question box asking who you wanted to hear from and here he is! the first trans man in Canada to run for office, a candidate for the school board and one of my new fave people. we squeezed this session into an already packed day so we will be definitely meeting again to have another conversation for tatd!
I can’t wait for you guys hear this episode! 10/10 at 8am 🤍

Ian is a candidate in the 2022 election for Chilliwack’s mayor. he talked with me, a politically illiterate young gal, about what it means to be mayor, why he’d be good at it, how federal elections work and why some people feel disappointed after. even if politics aren’t your fave thing (🙋🏼‍♀️) this is super digestible and easy to understand!

Election Day in Chilliwack is October 15th, you can get a mail in ballot online or show up in person! you’re voting for mayor, city council & school trustees.

Larissa talked with me for 2 hours and one of the things that struck me most was when she said we don’t see the pain in our city because we don’t want to. and that the only way to fix that was to be near the pain. how profound. I can’t wait for you to hear!

truth & reconciliation day is coming up next friday. I recognize that I don’t know nearly as much as I should about the history of our Indigenous people or the pain they have endured. with that in mind, I invited to come on and talk to me about these things and so much more. it was a beautiful conversation & a huge eye opener to the ease and privilege in my life to not experience racism.

I knew this conversation was going to be great, as are all conversations with but I love that y’all get to experience this one too. among many other wonderful things, we discuss Dan’s experiences as a pastor and how that lead to his exit from a local church; we also dive into technology & social media for kids and talk about why we both love disagreements.

Sadie has spent over a decade on our local radio stations and has now become a program director for Pattinson Media Group, she’s the most positive person I have ever met and I loved talking to her about her career, her journey to parenthood and how to get cute firefighters to come to my house lol.
