I'm in awe.
Back in the fall, I was asked if I would be interested in writing a podcast for an automotive group in BC. Considering my passion for media, content creation and experience in automotive, I eagerly jumped at the opportunity.
I'll be honest. It wasn't a cake walk. Lots of research, communication back and forth, setting up interviews, etc.
When you write, you tend to "hear it" or "see it" in your head. After the podcasts are complete, you hope that the production matches the sound and vision you had in your head.
Well, after listening to the first episode, I am blown away.
The team at everythingpodcasts.com are immensely talented. The stories truly come to life. I am proud to have been a part of such an incredible sounding production.

If you're a Dad, chances are you share the feeling that it's the best job in the world. Not every day is easy, but what job is?
Looking back, I wish I had spent more time being in the moment with my kids rather than simply being a spectator. Considering they are still fairly young, I'm happy that I have come to realize this.
Work tends to become a priority while the people in your life are forced to take a back seat. The logic is that you are doing what you're doing - for them. The reality is that you are using up what little time you have doing things that they will likely not cherish as "fond memories with Dad"
Life happens so quickly. Those moments when your kids were young and innocent - full of wonder - go by in an instant. Kids grow up, begin to have their own lives and it's you that begins to take a back seat.
My Dad passed away a few years ago now and I would love to share with him, not only my adventures and aspirations but also those of my children. You assume that you'll have another day. Sometimes, as it is with my Dad, you don't.
The goal is to try and be better. A better Dad tomorrow than I am today. It's a work in progress and, at times a bit of a balancing act, but necessary when viewing the bigger picture.
To all the Dads out there celebrating Father's Day today - appreciate the gift you have and the influence you have. Always strive to be the best version of yourself and instill positive beliefs and values in your children.
