π» You may know that CFCO stands for "Coming From Chatham Ontario" but did you know that Effie Lafferty, a member of the local black community, is the one who came up with the name as a part of a contest in 1927?
And, Harold Jackson, Canada's first Black licensed ham radio operator, was instrumental in helping Jack Beardall launch CFCO! We actually talked to his grandson Sebastian a few years ago about his work.
These are just a few of the things you'll learn with the Black History Month minutes, running on CFCO in February.
