A fourteen-time East Coast Music Award nominee, Jon was awarded the ECMA's prestigious Stompin' Tom Award in 2013, for long-term contribution to the music industry. This year, he captured 2017 Music PEI Awards for Producer of the Year and Live Sound Professional of the Year. Jon's services are constantly in demand, thanks to his consistent track record of success in turning out top notch recordings in any and all musical genre, from rock to country to folk to celtic to jazz...and everything in between. Jon has garnered a well-earned reputation for his “golden ears”and meticulous attention to detail. He prides himself on putting the artist and his or her music first, and is known for his personal investment, dedication and commitment to each and every project he takes on. Jon Matthews has been nominated for ECMA 'Engineer of the Year' seven times, as well as ECMA 'Producer of the Year' (twice) and 'Audio Professional of the Year'. He has been awarded Music PEI's Producer of the Year for the past 4 years.
