Bean looks like he's trying to sell watches from his trenchcoat every time he stretches.
Sometimes I just stare at him...
Is it weird that he likes "ear scritches"?
Bean's favourite thing (other than "singing" along to rap or country) is gliding across our kitchen from the top of his cage down to his perch by the window.
While I was preparing this video to post, Bean kept hearing his own chirps and my cues and actually flew from his perch by the window up to the top of the cupboard.
His wings are clipped. This is all new to me but I didn't think that was possible...
He is camera shy...so I had to sneak a video of him doing karaoke...
This is the tail end of a practice session.
Bean likes to practise all sorts of sounds.
I have to hide the camera, or put it far enough away that he's not bothered by it, otherwise he stops making sounds and sits still like a statue.
Camera shy, I guess.
Sweet Beaner.
Bean versus the giant artichoke.

Because they have control over the muscles that change the size of the pupils, birds are capable of controlling the dilation size of their pupils.
When the pupils of an African Grey parrot go from small to larger then small again and so on in quick succession it is called pinning.
Eye pinning can mean the bird is feeling excited, angry, afraid or it can mean that they're interested in something they see. This can mean enjoying a nice head scratch or warning someone of their intention to bite.
The video is slowed down to 1/2 time. Focus on his pupil and you will see just how quickly it changes. Pinning can be hard to catch.
