Nasty 1960's Sony reel to reel deck didn't work so I gave it a shot.
Needed cleaning, re-greasing, new belts, etc.
It turned into a thing of beauty - I love it when a plan comes together!

This, most people think, is a disaster.

Your precious home movies – Tony’s first steps, Lilly’s dance are gone forever.
Folded, spindled and mutilated.

But wait, there’s hope.

I can usually repair broken or damaged tapes. You might lose a few seconds but, that’s a small price to pay to save the whole rest of the tape.

I’ve had VHS tapes, and those seem to be the ones that are most often damaged, come to me, literally, broken in half.
In that case, I was able to cut out the wrinkled bits of tape, splice all the little pieces together and but it all back in a brand new VHS cassette housing.

Don’t Let Moldy Film Ruin Your 8mm, 16mm and Super 8 Film.
Have your Home Movies properly cleaned and Transferred to digital files or DVD before it’s too late!
Here at MediaHouse, we see many old home movie collections (8mm, Super 8 & 16mm) come in that have mold and mildew on them. Mold can grow on your home movies when stored in hot, humid, or moist environments. Thus, your parents attic is probably not the best spot for them… I recommend that you bring us your Family Film Memories and have them cleaned and digitized as soon as possible.
