Deep Sea Mining Syndicate is a label and artistic archival collective born out of the mundane prairie and mountain landscapes of southern Alberta. An aesthetic pastiche borrowing from the dark remnants of late-globalization. The concept for the label was realized during a visit to Hong Kong while gazing the footprint of costal multinational industrial companies and was created in the spirit of pos

t-socialist post-ideological realism in the films of Jia Zhangke and adopts a familiar ethos of art not as esoteric high society escapism but a mechanical working class collaboration of machines and human storytelling. The logo and design for this label was created by Seastar (Vincent) So and Evangelos Lambrinoudis II in 2014. We are currently not taking demo submissions.
