The June 20, 2024 episode included my talk with saxophonist, composer, arranger and educator, Jim Brenan, about the new album called Valley of Silence by the Brenan Brothers, including a track-by-track review. In addition to music from the Brenan Brothers, the episode also featured music from Melissa Aldana, Earl MacDonald, Craig Brenan & Florian Ross, and Michael Leonhart Orchestra.

The Brenan Brothers will be performing album release concerts at the Edmonton and Calgary summer jazz festivals, on June 26 and 30, respectively. The artists that Jim Brenan recommended during our talk were Montuno West, Mark Limacher /dɒtkɔm/, Michael Leonhart and John Coltrane.
