Often our book goals and dreams sound like this:
"I really want to write a book." (Not specific.)
"I'll write lots more this year." (Not measurable.)
"I'll write 5,000 words every day this year." (Not attainable.)
"I hope to finish my book." (No specific timeframe.)

Instead, set active and attainable goals:
"I'll set aside 30 minutes in the morning to write, at least 5 days a week."
"I'll have an outline of my book completed by March 1."
"I will finish my manuscript by the end of May."
"I will share my goals with (insert name) because I know they will hold me accountable."

Everyone has a story to share, and setting specific and realistic goals for your book dreams is essential to your writing journey.
