Let's get to know Lesley from Pure Aperture Photography

Joe: What do you LOVE about being a Photographer?
Lesley: I love knowing the images that I take are a moment in history and gift the ability for people to relive those moments years later.

Joe: Finish this sentence. On Sunday mornings, you can usually find me...
Lesley: ...drinking coffee reflecting on the shoot(s)/wedding(s) I had that week/weekend. Or developing my new found addiction for macrame.

Joe: In three words, how would your couples describe you?
Lesley: Kind, Patient & Talented.

Joe: Do you have any skills or talents that most people don’t know about?
Lesley: I was a graphics manager for 4.5 years for a baby toy distributor...I custom wire personalized hangers...
If you want to get more personal; I figure skated competitively for 16 years, I used to be a marathon runner and qualified/ran the Boston Marathon 2 times. I was at the events of the Boston bombings.

Joe: And finally, Can you tell me about a VERY memorable experience you've had as a photographer?
Lesley: Um gotta think. Haha suck at questions like this. Lol. I had an opportunity to photograph The Tenors at a corporate event. Was a complete surprise to me and all the guests at the event.

Let's Get to Know Anne & Garry from .

Joe: How long have you guys been a Husband-Wife Officiating Power Couple?
Anne: We started White Orchid Wedding Officiants in 2010 but we were officiating 2-3 years before that. Garry was a minister before that (for 23 years) so he married many couples before we started.

Joe: Very Cool. What is the best thing about being an officiating team?
Anne: The best part of being a team really is the way we can build on one another's ideas and push the business forward.
Garry: We are always trying new ideas and making packages that fit couples' needs.

Joe: Do you ever officiate together?
Anne: Yes, we have done several weddings together. One time, we tried it for a whole season; we enjoyed it actually.

Joe: What kind of things are you guys into when weddings AREN'T on your mind?
Anne: We enjoy reading, listening to audiobooks, dancing, concerts, listening to music, travelling, and of course...OUR GRANDKIDS.

Joe: And finally, any advice for couples to think about when planning their wedding ceremony?
Garry: We always encourage couples to think outside the box and make the ceremony about them. Some couples just want "cookie cutter", we suggest to "be original".
Anne: We want couples to CELEBRATE their love and we love helping them personalize how they do that during their ceremony,

Let's Get to know Hira from Blush Studios-Hair & Make Up.

Joe: What made you get into Hair & Make Up?
Hira: I've always loved doing hair and makeup on my friends and sister growing up as a hobby. While I was in school, another artist asked me to volunteer at a photoshoot. I loved it SO much and from there my career took off.

Joe: Have you ever met anyone famous?
Hira: Yes! I'll have to narrow it down to the Top 3
1. Ian Somerhalder at the MMVAs like 10 years ago haha. I was a total fan girl.
2. Huda Kattan from while in Dubai.
3. The makeup guru herself: Tamanna Roashan aka DressYourFace just this past October at her Masterclass in Toronto.

Joe: What else are you into besides hair & Makeup?
Hira: I LOVE to cook and bake. I got my 6 year old son really into its well and we have a blast doing it together! It's a huge de-stresser too.

Joe: What is your favourite part of the wedding day?
Hira: I love getting to know my brides and hearing each of their unique love stories. I also love to hear about how their wedding day will unfold and learning about everyone's cultural and family traditions is super cool too!

Joe: And Finally, why are you THE BEST at what you do?
Hira: I pay VERY close attention to every single detail from start to finish. I always take a few minutes at the beginning of every appointment to get a feel for what the Bride's every day style is and what her makeup regimen usually consists of. From this I get an idea of what will make them look and feel like an enhanced version of themselves. This lets me create a personalized look and bring their vision to life.
