Darryl Burns said last year 'the world knows James Smith Cree Nation as a place of grief, a place of tragedy and a place of suffering'. Our desire is that James Smith becomes a place of healing, a place of miracles, and a place of joy for Canada and the world. Let us never forget to pray and then do something tangible for our Indigenous brothers and sisters. This story is full of hope for the future.

Sixteen members of James Smith Cree Nation who sprang into action last September when a stabbing rampage left 11 dead and 18 wounded on their home in south-central Saskatchewan have been awarded the Queen's Platinum Jubilee medal for their bravery and public service.

What a beautiful expression of Truth & Reconciliation. Sorry it took so long but so happy to see it happen in my lifetime.

Canada has one of the highest levels of educational attainment, yet the graduation rate for Indigenous students remains far lower than their peers.

What a great idea.

A big shout out to Family Pizza in Prince Albert who worked all night in order to deliver 300 pizzas and 500 pop an hour away to James Smith Cree Nation Christmas party. Mandeep even stayed to help out and he is co-owner! Many hands make light work. Please support them when you think of pizza. ❤️
