Pictured is Aylesford & District Volunteer Fire Department, brush truck, responding back to the Lake George wildfire this morning, as smoke drifts across Aylesford Road in Morristown.
The fire was last estimated to cover an area of 285 hectares and still remains classified as out of control.
Numerous volunteer fire departments including, Aylesford, Brooklyn, Berwick, Nictaux, Bridgetown & Kingston have returned back to Lake George.
Dozens of Department of Natural Resources staff alongside British Columbia wildfire crews are also back on the fire grounds.
Nova Scotia Public Safety Field Communications has trucks and staff on site to help enhance and support radio coverage, while EHS Paramedics also have their command units positioned at the ready.
Heavy machinery will continue to work the fire creating fire breaks around the perimeter.
There are a number of different agencies that are also assisting in the efforts, including, contracted security, Department of Public Works, Department of Natural Resources Conservation officers, Department of Fisheries - Conservation and Protection officers and other agencies not listed.
A dozen helicopters are also at the fires disposal, while four NWT 802 skimmers and two NFLD CL-415s are all staged at the Greenwood base.
Temperatures are expected to reach higher than normal averages for this time of year over the next two days, which might not be favourable for fire suppression.
Anticipated rain is forecasted for Wednesday, which will help with efforts. Our fingers are crossed this comes..
Our community has continued to support in waves with donations and support for not only the firefighters but the community members who remain evacuated.
All evacuations and road closures still remain in place on Aylesford Road and North River Road in the communities of Morristown and Lake George.
