*KEEPING IT REAL WITH MY PEOPLE*

My people I have been missing in action this week! It has been a tough week as I navigated a health condition I’ve been battling with! But I know that healing is near. I’ve also had to turn down a role for one of the best plays written, produced and directed by Marcia Irie Dawta Brown. It put me in a funk. For those who know me, acting is my passion, but I started questioning every aspect of my life. I felt down and depressed. I even asked myself why am I making a fool of myself doing these ‘chupid’ things on Social Media with Mama Selva BUT the Lord reminded me of how far he has taken me, and where he has brought me.

Satan you will be defeated because I will rise above every stumbling block and no weapon formed against me shall prosper.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to perform at The United Steel Workers Union annual Luncheon. It was an honor to be a part of such an important event, especially with this year's theme focusing on the Elimination of Race and Discrimination.

In a world where inclusion and equality are still challenges we face, events like this serve as beacons of hope and catalysts for change. It was inspiring to see the dedication and commitment of everyone involved in fostering an environment of understanding and unity.

As we continue to navigate through the complexities of eradicating discrimination, it becomes evident that each of us has a role to play in this ongoing struggle. By coming together and amplifying our voices, we can create a more equitable and just society for all.

Once again, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your meaningful event. I look forward to continued collaboration and collective efforts towards a future free from prejudice and discrimination.
