Awesome times last summer at recording dual bass tracks with & for their punk band called The Thingiuling - look them up on ! Len’s Peavey JSX amp was crazy cool sounding for gnarly distorted bass. Stoked bands like this are making rad interesting punk music.

It nearly didn’t happen and I’m so glad are a band making the beautifully noisy music that they’re incredible at after all their adversity. Produced and mixed by me back in my days at Schoolhouse. Finally starting a proper FB Page! Welcome friends new and old to the High Wattage Cottage!

We are a bespoke recording studio on the border of Belleville/Quinte West, owned and operated by guitarist / songwriter / ex-Cancer Bats founding member Scott Middleton - Record Producer.

Our Studio is situated on the picturesque Bay Of Quinte overlooking Prince Edward County. With a strong focus on record producing, mastering and mixing of bands and solo musicians especially in the rock / loud music genres, we are also capable of voiceover recording, podcast production and multimedia/post production.

Our facility has a wonderfully comfortable and acoustically treated control room of some of the best vintage & modern analog outboard and digital recording equipment. Our live room is large enough to record an entire band, and always suitable for tight punchy and in your face drum recording!

Our room is also available for other producers and engineers to rent out for their projects.

The entire album is out June 7th on @stomprecords Video directed by @tracycrossdog Director of Photography and editing by Peter J Miller Produced/Mixed/Mastered by @scoebcity here at @highwattagecottage FT vocals by @knoxstarrr & @missemilybones of @theantiqueens This was the first song we tackled in our very first preproduction session together at the Cross Dog jam space. I recall how I stoked I was at the creative way the band blended electronics and heavy drums over amazing distorted bass grooves and atmospheric effects….but then Tracy got behind the mic and blew my mind with vocals fuelled by undeniably powerful lyrics with a message truly worth fighting for. I knew right then this record was going to be on another level and be something we would all want to be screaming along to at the top of our lungs every time we cranked this in the car or whenever the band played one of their legendary gigs!
