Thanks to BMO we are challenging all club members to make our campus community even better! 🤩

You and up to three of your club members are invited to pitch an idea for making your club even better! All participants will receive guidance on how to craft a dynamic pitch, and the top three teams will receive funding to bring their ideas to life. 💡

The event will follow a Dragon’s Den-style format, where shortlisted student clubs present their concepts to a panel of judges in hopes of securing financial backing.

Join us for theEssential Futures Employer Summit an engaging and dynamic series of workshops designed specifically for employers, where we’ll explore forward-thinking strategies and solutions to drive innovation in the workplace.

Funded by Business + Higher Education Roundtable and in partnership with Georgian College and the Barrie Chamber of Commerce, the Employer Summit equips employers with the essential skills to thrive and attract the future workforce. Georgian College has established a Changemaker Workplace designation aimed at building capacity in areas that attract top talent and help your business stand out. Additionally, this initiative fosters meaningful connections between our Changemaker students and forward-thinking employers, driving a more sustainable future and cultivating a thriving community.

This Summit coincides with the Community Building Hackathon, a competition for post-secondary students. In this challenge, students will have a set amount of time and resources to build a city block in the year 2050. As part of this, students will incorporate advanced technologies and sustainable solutions, building their block with inspiration from APMA’s Project Arrow Vehicle, an advanced electric vehicle that symbolizes the future of transportation and sustainable living. The vehicle will be showcased on-site, serving as an example of the innovations shaping the future.
