Ominotago (Naomi Persaud) [she/they]

Omi is a Two Spirited, Afro- Indigenous, Q***r woman. In Oji-Cree this word means “Great Singer”, it embodies some of the gifts the

Creator has lent her; the power of her voice, the weight her words carry and the use of language to reach

people’s hearts and spirits. Omi is a Healing spirit, an activist and an artist. On her journey of reconnection, she has been called to use her gifts to help guide others into community and to express her gratitude for this mino bimadizwiin (good life).

Omi’s Ancestral lineage hails from the African

Diaspora as well as the Traditional Lands of the Siksika (Blackfoot) and Macushi (Guyana) Tribes. She is a Fancy Shawl Dancer as well as a Singer in community.

SUNDAY JUNE 2ND

Featuring

TRP.P (pronounced “TRIP-ee”) is a Toronto duo, breaking barriers in the Hip-Hop/R&B scene. Composed of Truss (producer, singer/songwriter) and Phoenix Pagliacci (singer/songwriter), the dynamic duo met in 2015 and have been collaborating in music and life ever since. In 2017, they released their self-titled debut EP, followed with their sophomore release 2TRP.P. in 2019. Their modern twist on 80’s/90’s inspired R&B gives way to powerful lyrics, which often champion q***r love, justice and their communities. TRP.P released their latest album, "Mirror Soul" in June of 2022.

Janelle Niles is a Two-spirited Black - Mi’kmaq woman from Sipekne'katik, Nova Scotia. Janelle’s comedy career began in 2019. Fast tracking her career she has performed with Just For Laughs Toronto in 2022 with Got Land? Indigenous comedy show and the Winnipeg Comedy Festival 2023. She appeared on Family Feud Canada representing Truro, Nova Scotia and on CTV’s brand new game show Battle of the Generations. She has also made appearances on APTN’s Michif Country Season 3, Indigenous Day live and has a documentary on CBC GEM & Crave Called Janelle Niles: Inconvenient. Janelle hopes to perform one day in New York City. Her humour is described as eccentric yet captivating.”
