We have made it safely to the Arctic Ocean on the other side of Baffin Island. Our pickup by boat was successful and we are spending the night in a skidoo shed in Qikiqtarjuaq.

Our equipment finally arrived in Pangnirtung on the 16:35 flight. 24 hours late, but everything is a go for tomorrow morning. Final weigh in with packs is 60lbs each. Forcast is 8C and 19kph winds, very fair.

The rainbow over the community is a good omen for things to come.

Update: The airline has misplaced ALL our luggage critical for the Baffin expedition. We are praying it arrives tomorrow.

We have landed in Pangnirtung. The weather will close in, but open up again by Monday. In 36 hours we set out on the land to cross through Akshayuk Pass.

In just over a week, we set off onto the tundra in the high Arctic, to cross Baffin Island on foot.

This is the first of more adventures to come.
