Do you know your Rainbow Rights? The Legal Information Society of Nova Scotia, in partnership with Restorative Approach, is pleased to offer ✨ FREE✨ workshops designed for 2SLGBTQIA+ folks and those who support them to review the newly launched Rainbow Rights publication.

This two-hour workshop on Zoom will be offered two more times!

WEDNESDAY, January 22nd, 2025, from 1-3 pm AST
WEDNESDAY, February 12th, 2025, from 6-8 pm AST

✨ Our goal ✨ support 2SLGBTQIA+ folks (and supporters) in Nova Scotia (Mi’kma’ki) in understanding their human rights and what options and resources are available to them if they face discrimination.

Our workshop will review things like:

✨ Human rights protections, including provincial and federal human rights legislation,
✨A review of other legal protections, and
✨ How to stay sane and self-advocate in sustainable ways

This workshop is designed for q***r folks themselves and those who support the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. We invite you to share this with anyone who may benefit from this offering.

Lilac Place: Resources For Women offers a 6-week closed group program for survivors of sexual violence. We are still accepting current participants for this month, as well as registering for future groups. While there are limited spots, groups will re-run every six weeks, while offering different times to meet individual needs.

In addition to our programming, Lilac Place offers accompaniment for reporting, accessing medical treatment, and testifying in court, within limitations and pertaining to cases of sexual violence.
