Adding piano in the song - in home recording - I usually do the rhythm first. With a basic progression or loop take the voice and then add other instruments one by one. Next up balance the colume and apply EQ, Compression, Etc. After that I would add effects and do the gain and EQ again. After bouncing the track do the mastering on the mixed version. In this video I am adding piano notes in a track
