The Ministry of Education, Culture, Science, and Technology announces a nationwide suspension of classes at all levels for tomorrow, Monday, 18th November 2024, due to adverse weather conditions caused by Tropical Storm Sara. The public and bank holiday on Tuesday, 19th November, will provide an opportunity to assess the conditions after the storm.

The Ministry encourages our education community to prioritise their health and safety and to follow official advisories from the National Emergency Management Organization-NEMO and the National Meteorological Service of Belize.

Mayor Pablo Cawich once again demonstrated his unwavering support for the people of Belmopan by joining the annual Belmopan Cancer Walk for 2024 early this morning. The walk commenced at the Camalote Community Center and concluded at the Belmopan Civic Center parking lot.

This event served as a poignant reminder of solidarity for all those who have lost loved ones to this relentless battle, celebrated the resilience of cancer survivors, and honored the bravery of those currently fighting against the disease.

More than a simple walk against cancer, it represented a crucial stride towards closing the gap in cancer care, emphasizing the community's collective determination to combat this formidable challenge.

Mayor Cawich graciously provided attractive shirts to the students of Kuxlin Ha Government Primary School,.
