The time has come. Mark your calendars. Futurist Collective presents Counter Weight. Counter Weight is a multi-disciplinary group show featuring the works of the Futurist Collective. The Futurists collective is comprised of artists Ivan Cofield (painting), Tommy Vo (mixed media), and Johnny Tang (photography). Counter Weight explores issues of mental health, identity, and being seen as the Other in New York City during these unprecedented times.
Opening reception is on May 14th at 6pm 1 Brooklyn Bridge Park. Special guest Dj will be preforming his own unique sounds. We will also have an amazing dance performance from Passion Fruit ( ). Exhibition 5/14 to 6/4. Thank you for providing us an may other artists with space to show.

Zoe Jensen de Pedro is an unschooler born in Sweden, who has been taking Zhenyas classes since the start of the pandemic. Zoe is also interested in creating art digitally through video and code.

Meet the other half of our musical duo

Sienna Sears is a NYC based artist. She was born and raised in Saint Louis Missouri. Sienna grew up in a big family and her parents ran a theatre company; she has been immersed and in love with the arts her whole life.
Sienna received her BFA in musical theatre from Seton Hill University. She has traveled the world working with children’s theatre and teaching art integration in education.
She is currently working with Edie’s Fairytale Theatre illustrating, directing, and teaching
Sienna worked with brother, Christopher Sears and band mates to record his album Ticking Man. Which was performed at venues all through out NYC. Christopher is now working with Sienna and other artists to develop the album into a musical.
Sienna recently released a new album with her brother, Christopher Sears, called Mr Robin
It’s available on Spotify and iTunes

Christopher Sears is an artist, actor, dancer and musician. He grew up working in his parents’ theatre and studied acting at Rutgers University. He has since worked in film, television and theatre.

Christopher has written 3 musical albums: Bread Boy, Ticking Man, and Mr. Robin.
⠀
Mr. Robin, the most recent work, is a collaboration with his sister Sienna.

We are exited and happy to share with you our first international/breaking borders project from NYC.

The first person who represented in our project is .gigi

More about her:
I have been dancing since childhood. I got to the dance by accident: I went with a friend to a dance class. In fact, I wanted to paint. But then I realized that I also really like dancing. So I finished 9 classes in choreography and choreographic college. Now I can teach dance directions!
⠀
I recently discovered yoga. I got there also by accident. It was Saturday, I was looking for a cheap pool. but unexpectedly found a yoga lesson. I went to yoga. now my dream is to get a yoga teacher diploma and open this world of self-knowledge and tranquility to other people.
⠀
I got to this performance ... BY RANDOM! This is even ridiculous! I wanted to dance in my hometown, but found these online classes in New York.
Apparently, the most important and valuable things for me happen by chance. Or maybe this is a snake of the universe ?!

Iren Kamyshev (.irka)

Iren will present her video-art that was created and filmed in Jerusalem, our collaboration project “the borders” (Belarus/Israel/America) and will take part at our main performance “My Room”.
⠀
Iren Kamyshev is a multidisciplinary dancer and performance artist. She was born in Estonia and grew up in Israel.
⠀
Iren received her B.A in dance, along with a teaching certification, from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. (JAMD) Iren is a professional freelance dancer, choreographer, teacher and producer. Her original works have been performed both in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. She recently moved to New York City to continue her artistic journey.

Iren has worked in collaboration with choreographers and companies in Israel, California, and New York City. Her experience as an immigrant imbues her art with a unique, multicultural perspective, allowing her to communicate and connect with any audience through the universal language of MOVEMENT.
⠀

heatrockone () is incredible dancer and talented artist. More about him is here.
⠀
Ivan "Heat Rock" Cofield was born and raised in various areas of Georgia. In his early years he mimicked various pop stars and there back up dancers such as; Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson, Big Daddy Cain, Kid and Play and more. At the age of twelve he began to dance an unorthodoxed and unguided style of popping. At the age of sixteen he ventured into the style of b-boying (break dancing). Later at the age of nineteen he moved to Boston, Massachusetts and was recruited and trained under the supervision of The Floorlords Crew. Mentored by Lino "Leansky" Delgato, Heat Rock learned the true meaning of hip hop. Heat Rock trained popping under Megatron, Leansky, Boogie Boy Dash, and Dominoe. With their guidence he became well educated in the east coast boogie boy style of popping. In his late 20's he left Floorlords and revisited the dance style of bboying. In 2011 Heat was one of the first founding members of a new dance crew Del Fuego Wolfpack. Heat Rock now resided in Brooklyn, New York were he continues to practice boogie boy, bboying and many other styles of hiphop. He spends his days traveling the world competing and teaching. He has worked on various shows and programs such as Netflix series The Get Down and Nickelodeon's HALO Awards.

• FRIENDS •

Тема «friends» будет рассказывать о проектах, которые хотим поддержать информационно. Эти проекты необязательно проходят в
gigi о своих занятиях:

Йога класс проходит в уютной студии на Мостовой 34 (Здание БИП) в 21:00 по средам и в 13:00 по воскресеньям.
Занятие начинается с разминки, затем идет основная часть и обязательно заминка, чтобы правильно завершить занятие и успокоить наш организм. Я стараюсь чередовать растяжение различных групп мышц, ведь если постоянно тянуть только складку, хорошего результата добиться невозможно. Я сторонник того, чтобы каждый человек работал со своим телом сам. Нужно научиться правильно тянуться самостоятельно.
