Keeping your low frequencies/bass consistent represents one of the most important processes when it comes to mixing. In this case, I was working with a bass guitar which was very inconsistent as you can see from the waveform itself. However, those transients were very interesting to work with, so that's why I used a bit slower attack to still retain their punch. How do you like to compress your bass? Let me know! 😉
