🔴 TOWNSHIP ROLLERS OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCE MPOTE...

Statement Reads :"Township Rollers Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Mogomotsi "Teenage" Mpote as Head Coach.

Mpote is a seasoned coach with a CAF A coaching license certificate and has extensive experience including leading the Botswana senior men's national team, the Zebras to the 2019 COSAFA Cup final.

Born in Serowe, Mpote had a football playing career at Miscellaneous, Diamond Chiefs and TASC, before his coaching profession commenced.

Early in his coaching career, he led TASC to a creditable fourth place finish in the elite league and guided Miscellaneous to promotion to the Premier League.

Mpote first served at Township Rollers between 2013 and 2018, as an assistant coach to Madinda Ndlovu, Mark Harrison and Nikola Kavazovic, and also as Head Coach.

Mpote led Rollers to the 2016-17 league title as Head Coach, and later moved to coach Orapa United, winning the Orange FA Cup and Mascom Top 8.

He joins Rollers after a short stint with Nico United.

Among his individual honours, Mpote won the Botswana Premier League Coach of the Season 2016-17, Orange FA Cup Coach of the Tournament in 2019, and the Mascom Top 8 Coach of the Tournament in 2020.

Now it’s official! Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Al Qadisiyah from Olympique Marseille. Contract until 2026 (€15M/year).

Serhou Guirassy joins Borussia Dortmund on €17.5m deal from Stuttgart, clause triggered.

🔴 ROLLERS ANNOUNCE SEBATA AS NEW CLUB PRESIDENT

Township Rollers FC on Thursday announced Mr Tendani Sebata as the club's new investment partner and President in a press briefing held at Cresta Lodge in Gaborone.

Mr Sebata who succeeds Mr Jimmy Kereng of Prestige Parlours Group, is scheduled to partner with Rollers for a five year period.

Described as a relentless and passionate businessman, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Sebata Group which provides luxury coaches, secure services and cargo handling services, Mr Sebata outlined his vision for the Blues, which includes investment in development and the ladies team.

"It I with honour and humility that I get to lead Township Rollers FC, the most powerful and successful football club in Botswana. I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to the Rollers Society for entrusting me with this monumental role for the club," Mr Sebata said.

He further noted that Rollers has managed to maintain being a household name for decades, and vowed to assist in moving Popa to the next level.

"I look forward to growing with the club and the supporters as I endeavour to take Rollers to even greater heights. I look forward to my tenure and bringing to life all the exciting plans we have for the club," Mr Sebata said.

Rollers club chairman Mr Phempheretlhe Bafana Pheto said the club's new venture would breathe new lease of life into Botswana's biggest sports brand, enhance professionalism and boost club operations.
