Botswana's Adrian Robinson settled for third position after a time of 1:02:79sec in the men's 100m breaststroke heat 2 at the ongoing Paris 2024 Olympics.

The event commenced yesterday on the 26th July and will conclude on the 11th August 2024 in Paris, France

Robinson is ranked no 27 after all hits, he won't be featured in the Semis that are to be held later today at 2030hrs

Denzel Seetso eazies through Libya's Mohamed Eljamal to claim victory in the men's singles at the ongoing Africa Group V Davis Cup🎾.

He won by two sets to nil, settling at 6-0 6-0 each.

Mark Nawa kick started The Africa Group V Davis Cup with a victory for team Botswana as he welcomed Ahmed Mouhan of Libya.

He played a three set match were he emerged victorious by two sets to one. The ever fearless Mark's performance was outstanding, but he had a Taugh opponent won secured the first set with a score of 6-7.

Mark picked minor injuries (muscle pulls), the latter he redeemed himself and won two sets in a row by 6-4 & 7-6 and upstaged his opponent,

It was the deciding set were Mark ran riot over his opponent, after four hours of play he injected much pressure to secure the set.

Botswana Tennis Association in partnership with Okavango Diamond Company will on the 17th till the 20th July host Africa Group VI Davis Cup 🎾 at the National Tennis Center.

"The signs during my celebration were mainly for my mom. Everything I do now is for her, not for me. The race and crowd were really amazing. Now we just need to get to the Olympics with a healthy body. The race was perfect, we just shut it down and went to the line. I believe I am in the right shape for top performances, it´s good that the Olympics come about."

✅ Botswana's Letsile Tebogo clocked 19.87 (0.6m/s) to beat Dominican Republic's Alexander Ogando (20.02) and Uganda's Tarsis Orogot (20.32) in the men's 200m.

Collen Kebinatshipi and Bayapo Ndori settled for position four and five, clocking 44.67sec and 44.71sec respectively.

USA's Hall Quincy won Monaco Diamond League men's 400m with the fastest time of 43.80sec followed by Norwood Venom also from USA clocking second fastest time of 44.34sec and South Africa's Pillay Lythe came third after clocking 44.58sec.

TEAM BOTSWANA DEPARTS FOR PARIS 2024 OLYMPICS 🇧🇼🔥

Botswana National Olympic Commission(BNOC) is sending a team of fourteen athletes and eight administrators to Paris 2024 Olympics. The Olympic Game are scheduled for July 26- August 11th 2024 in Paris France.

Amongst the twelve athletes, ten are from Botswana Athletics Association, track and field, nine been male and one female and two are from Botswana swimming sport, one male and one female. Team Botswana is Captain by Boitumelo Masilo.

OSADI DOMINATES UB BOXING TOURNAMENT FEMALE CATEGORY🥊🔥

Osadi Matong of Glen Valley Boxing Club dominated the females category at the UB boxing tournament. She secured the best female boxer award 🏆, and best female bout as she was exchanging fists🥊 with Kutlwano Sekhutlo of SSKB Boxing club in the final at the weekend thriller boxing touney.

She also walked away with a driver training scholarship with I-Six Logistics🔥.

COLLEN CAN'T STOP DOMINATING THE 400M 🙌🔥

Botswana 400m track star Collen Kebinatshipi clocked the fastest time of 45.29sec to win the FBK Games 🇳🇱.

He retained the championship as he won the first edition with the fastest time of 45.01 sec. Jean Bredau of Germany came second with a time of 45.30sec and Nigeria's Samuel Ogazi settled for the third position after clocking 45.35sec

The event was hosted in Hengelo, Netherlands.

History in the making ⚽🔥 Gaborone United Ladies top Striker's Ontlametse "Neymar" Gaonyadiwe netted five goals in the DTC Botswana Women's championship final against Tawana Top Girls FC.

UB BOXING TOURNEY STARTS TODAY

UB Boxing Club is set to host inaugural Open Boxing Tournament from 05- 07 July 2024 at the UB Student Centre ( Block 139) from 1230 hrs.

The three days tournament will be official opened by Director of Culture, Sports and Recreation Dr. C.J. Mokgothu. Three Olympians will be awarded Oly pins during the event.

Tournaments starts at 1330 hrs with around 22 preliminaries bouts expected. 82 Boxers from 17 clubs have registered to compete.
