Fresh from high school, with the help of Dj D-Rock and Fondo (ya baba), I Perfected my mixing at Ozone Club, which was the leading college students and young professionals night club. To broaden my Dj-ing skills, with emphasis on perfecting performing before different crowds, I decided to play both club and festival events. DVD (of the Mascom Booster Bash fame to name a few) put me on during his h

ighly successful gigs and I never disappointed

Within a year, I played at the KMT TV launch as well as the TTC, GIPS and N.I.I.T. My first most memorable gig was the UB Fresher’s Ball (2007) where I played alongside the award winning South African Djs, Revolution. Within 3 years I had shared the stage with even much bigger International stars like Dj Cleo, Dj Cndo and Dj Clock, all of whom are South African award winning Djs. Though I am a largely house orientated Dj, I happen to like the idea of playing both house and hip hop. In this pursuit I did a chain of high calibre events including the Youth Against Aids (YAA) launch at GSS grounds wit Kast. To test my fort on the more urban pop culture market I played a smoking hot set at the 1st Tru Ballers 2218 gig alongside the likes of Dj Crispin. Since my freshman year, I have had the privilege of sharing the stage with industry heavyweights like Djs Mono T, Mandla, Mbuso, Cndo, Cleo, Trax, Clock, D rock, Revolution, Robbie Rob, Archduke just to mention a few. I am currently working on an album . I am back in the game after a long break. My first gig will be end of October in Gabs. I will then round of the year by playing a smoking hot set @ Club Savannah in Zimbabwe this December. What makes me different is that I don’t play every weekend. I only play at special gigs, which makes my appearances rare and in turn valuable. My set ranges from commercial house to electro house that being the deepest I can go. On special occasions, I sometimes mix old school kwaito; this is largely influenced by the nature of the crowd. Every time I play people move no matter how big THE crowd is. THIS gives me courage and it shows gore I can go places. . . By Deejay Tendai & Tlamelo El Ramodisa
