Sometimes having a talent in something and failing to showcase it not because you don't want to or anything like that it's so depressing and it's really heartbreaking, there's soo much talent in the streets but none of at least half of them are given that opportunity they end up going an extra mile, way above their comfort zones just to try and fit in, I'd give an example by myself, I am a singer, a pop singer, i couldn't get to where I wanted with my talent which is singing, but I ended up losing interest in it and worked again Soo much in improving my Dj and producing skills to favor Motswana ko lapeng but if you think about it motho tlaabo a re koore nna Ake reetse pop, ake reetse RnB yet the very same people are praising and giving more value to other artists from outside instead of building and giving the same value and respect to our very own artists, how often do our artists in Botswana get booked outside the country, only a few but how often do we book artists from outside, ga ke gane they are good and all but we can make it to that level le rona as Batswana artists I'm not saying it's wrong for us to do that as a country but when are we going to have artists tsa rona re le Batswana, all we need is the support from Batswana and whichever ministry is responsible for industries like ours, oh Incase you didn't know ke go bontshe lonyatso Ancestral Rituals ba ne ba ntsiwa mo staging in favor of an international act, some artists are not getting paid even after all the efforts but that's just me highlighting before it's too late. We know we are a small country but as artists it's better to stick together and work together and together we can make it.
