Boosting Africa's creative industries through the free trade area

The AfCFTA aims to create a single market for goods and services, and facilitate the cross-border movement of capital and people, which will boost intra-African trade, currently at just 18% of regional integration. It is also expected to create jobs for young people and boost the creative sector, including the visual and performing arts, crafts, cultural festivals, photography, music, dance, film, fashion, video games, digital animation, publishing, and architecture.

Creatives can tap into the opportunities afforded by the AfCFTA by developing strong networks with other creatives and industries across Africa.By also understanding the unique opportunities offered by the AfCFTA and identifying areas where they can add value.

Happy Africa Day! As we commemorate this day may we remember that all is built in Love and Unity.

Africa is in transformation and acceleration inspired and lead by the AfCFTA Agenda. This Agenda simply seeks to make Africa a common market and integrate economies.Whike the technicalities are still being engineered may we remeber that Love and Unity is the strong base and surface for all things to be knited together.

May we see each other as brothers and sisters than as foreigners. May we see each others as partners and not competitors. May we strengthen one another and not tear one another. In speech may we build one another encourage and arise each other.May we not steal from our own and rather sow seeds.

Therein we shall see industries accelerating, economies arising, people being proud and happy about their land and thus livelihoods forever changed.
