Forest Fire in Daga Gewog of Wangdue Prodrang Continues to Rage
A forest fire in Daga Gewog of Wangdue Prodrang is still blazing as efforts to contain it face challenges due to the steep terrain and windy weather conditions. The fire reportedly started around noon today, prompting response from Royal Bhutan Police personnel, forest officials, Dessups, PHPA firefighters, and workers from Jaypee company. Despite their efforts, the fire has not been brought under control yet.
Plans are underway to continue containment efforts tomorrow, as the teams combat the difficult conditions. Fortunately, there have been no reported casualties thus far. The situation remains critical as authorities work tirelessly to bring the forest fire under control.
