Maurício Barreto is the director-founder of ESEMUL (Estúdio Escola Música Livre), and a multi-instrumentalist, composer and arranger. In it, he focuses on how the general irresponsible comercialization of cultural life inhibits our colletive aweness about some urgent social and environmental issues. In this sense, both music compositions and their accompanying videos are inspired by the fauna and

flora preservation of the Amazon forest and other regional ecosystems. These, as well as our water resources and the control of pesticides, are of vital importance to the survival of humanity. Maurício Barreto's music studio and school (ESEMUL) has been for decades in the countryside, where he also lives, and is deeply immersed in the local culture. Música Livre is a movement of inclusion, because it embraces a pletora of aesthetic diversities, including unusual musical arrangements and compositions, offering music classes,workshops and developing several recording projects of regional, naïfe and other styles. in the countryside to a wide variety of participants.
