WIZO BOLIVIA/LA PAZ, 🇧🇴 presente en el 71.º aniversario de la Unidad Educativa "Estado de Israel".
Como cada año, la Federación WIZO Bolivia/La Paz, junto con el Círculo Israelita de La Paz, visitó la Unidad Educativa "Estado de Israel" para celebrar su 71.º aniversario.
En esta ocasión, realizamos una donación de micrófonos inalámbricos profesionales y trajes de guaripoleras, fortaleciendo nuestro compromiso con la educación y la comunidad.
Fue un momento especialmente emotivo al escuchar por primera vez a los estudiantes entonar el Hatikva en hebreo. Esta escuelita, de muy bajos recursos, nos recuerda la importancia de tender puentes y demostrar que nuestra presencia y apoyo se sienten *no solo en Israel, sino también en Bolivia.*

🇧🇴WIZO Bolivia/La Paz celebrates the 71st anniversary of the “Estado de Israel” School.
As every year WIZO together with the our Círculo Israelita of La Paz, visited the “Estado de Israel” Educational Unit to celebrate its 71st anniversary.
On this special occasion, we donated professional wireless microphones and traditional gualipolera suits, reinforcing our commitment to education and community support.
It was a truly a moving and emotional moment to hear the students sing Hatikva in Hebrew for the very first time. This small school, with very limited resources, reminds us how meaningful it is to build bridges and show that *our presence and support are felt not only in Israel, but also in Bolivia.* 💙🤍

Appointed CEO of World WIZO

On November 1st, Marsel Asulin will assume her new role as CEO of World WIZO, succeeding Mira Mines, who has led the organization with dedication for the past five and a half years.

Two people were killed in a car-ramming and stabbing attack at the Heaton Park synagogue in Manchester, UK. Several others who were injured in the attack are in hospital.

The attacker was also neutralized and the incident is being classified as a terrorist attack.

This act of terror, carried out on Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the Jewish year, is an assault not only on the Jewish community but on the basic values of freedom of religion and human dignity.

WJC is in close contact with our UK affiliate, The Board of Deputies of British Jews, and extend our solidarity to the British Jewish community at this painful time.

We are thankful for the swift response by law enforcement. Yet it is a devastating reality that in 2025, synagogues around the world require armed guards simply so that worshippers can pray without fear of being murdered.

Hate and terror must never be allowed to triumph. The international community must stand united in protecting Jewish life wherever it is threatened.
