🔴CAF unveils new TotalEnergies CHAN Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda 2024 Logo and Trophy.

With a few hours to the Final Draw of the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda 2024 in Kenya tonight, CAF has unveiled a new logo and Trophy for the Competition.

The new look for the tournament brings a fresh identity and emphasises its deep-rooted connections to African football and culture.

It comes with a new TotalEnergies CHAN 2024 trophy that features a sleek, contemporary design, combining gold and silver elements, representing the prestige and growing stature of the tournament.

A significant detail is the 54 distinct lines encircling the trophy, symbolizing the 54 African nations united with a map of the continent at its core.

⚽️CAF postpones the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (“CHAN”) Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda 2024 to August 2025.

The Confédération Africaine de Football (“CAF”) today announced the postponement of the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (“CHAN”) Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda 2024 to August 2025.

Good progress has been made in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda with the construction and upgrading of stadiums, training fields, hotels, hospitals and other infrastructure and facilities for the hosting of a successful TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (“CHAN”) Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda 2024.

However the CAF Technical and Infrastructure experts some of whom have been based in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, have advised CAF that more time is required to ensure that the infrastructure and facilities, are at the levels, necessary for hosting a successful TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (“CHAN”) Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda 2024.

Hassan Wasswa, Mrisho Ngasa and McDonald Mariga confirmed as TotalEnergies CAF CHAN 2024 Draw Assistants

With two days to go before the Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) conducts the official draw for the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024 finals, three legends who will take part in the ceremony have been confirmed, with one each from co-hosts Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

The draw will be conducted on Wednesday, 15 January at the Kenyatta International Conventional Centre in Nairobi, Kenya at 20h00 local time (17h00 GMT / 19h00 Cairo time).

Uganda’s Hassan Wasswa, Mrisho Ngasa of Tanzania and Kenya’s McDonald Mariga will be the three legends conducting the draw of the eighth edition of the competition to take place between 1-28 February 2025.

⚽️CAF increases the Prize Money by 75% of the Winner of the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (“CHAN”) Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda 2024 and the total Prize Money of the CHAN by 32 %.

The (“CAF”) announced today that the Prize Money of the Winner of the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (“CHAN”) Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda 2024 has been increased by 75% and the Winner will now receive USD 3.5 million.

CAF also announced that the total Prize Money of the CHAN Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda 2024 has been increased to USD 10.4 million which is an increase of 32%.

The President of CAF Dr Patrice Motsepe said: “We are excited about the upcoming TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (“CHAN”) Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda 2024 and have significantly increased the Prize Money of the Winner to USD 3.5 million which is an increase of 75%.

CAF’s investment in youth and women’s football has added significantly to the calendar and a packed schedule awaits fans, with the start of both the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 and TotalEnergies CAF Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Morocco 2024 this year.

🔴CAF Disciplinary Board Outcomes on Various Matters.

The CAF Disciplinary Board met to deliberate on several matters and incidents during the CAF Interclub Competition and also TotalEnergies CAF AFCON Morocco 2025 Qualifiers.

Below is the summary.

TotalEnergies CAF Champions League: CR Belouizdad
CR Belouizdad (Algeria) was charged with misconduct after its fans allegedly used smoke bombs during their TotalEnergies CAF Champions League fixture against Orlando Pirates (South Africa) on 26 November 2024.

The CAF Disciplinary Board found CR Belouizdad guilty and fined the Club USD 10,000 of which USD 5,000 is suspended, provided that no similar incident is observed over the next 12 months.
