البحرين المحتلة - Occupied Bahrain While the country is in a state of paralysis.
(253)

Since Feb 2011, a crisis state entered Bahrain with a brutal crackdown by Israel, USA, and UK which backed the ‘Al-Khalifa’ occupation regime of the foreign minorities in Bahrain, against the indigenous majority protests of pro-democracy. Human rights abuses have been rampant, virtually all the main opposition leaders are in jail that already have “one of the highest arbitrary arrests rates per ca

pita in the Middle East”, according to Human Rights Watch. Yet the ‘Al-Khalifa’ clings to power with the backing of Saudi Arabia and the West. Meanwhile, Bahrain’s revolution has been overshadowed in the media by events in Syria and elsewhere, with little or no media attention focusing on the situation. But inside Bahrain, on Occupy Bahrain, we aim to put that right. Over the next few weeks and months, we’ll be putting the spotlight on the Al-Khalifa regime, opposition, and geopolitics which has such an influence in Bahrain. We invite you to LIKE these pages:

Our Story

Since February 2011 BAHRAIN has been in a state of crisis with a brutal crackdown by the US-backed minority regime on pro-democracy activists.

Human rights abuses have been rampant, virtually all the main opposition leaders are in jail, and the country is in a state of paralysis. Yet the Al Khalifa regime clings to power with the backing of Saudi Arabia and the West.

Meanwhile, Bahrain’s revolution has been overshadowed by events in Syria and elsewhere, with little or no media attention focusing on the situation.

But Inside Bahrain, on Occupy Bahrain aims to put that right. Over the next few weeks and months we’ll be putting the spotlight on the Al Khalifa regime, on the opposition, and on the geo-politics which has such an influence on this tiny island.
