البحرين المحتلة - Occupied Bahrain While the country is in a state of paralysis.
(253)

Since Feb 2011, a crisis state entered Bahrain with a brutal crackdown by Israel, USA, and UK which backed the ‘Al-Khalifa’ occupation regime of the foreign minorities in Bahrain, against the indigenous majority protests of pro-democracy. Human rights abuses have been rampant, virtually all the main opposition leaders are in jail that already have “one of the highest arbitrary arrests rates per ca

pita in the Middle East”, according to Human Rights Watch. Yet the ‘Al-Khalifa’ clings to power with the backing of Saudi Arabia and the West. Meanwhile, Bahrain’s revolution has been overshadowed in the media by events in Syria and elsewhere, with little or no media attention focusing on the situation. But inside Bahrain, on Occupy Bahrain, we aim to put that right. Over the next few weeks and months, we’ll be putting the spotlight on the Al-Khalifa regime, opposition, and geopolitics which has such an influence in Bahrain. We invite you to LIKE these pages:

Tony Blair’s Institute for Global Change is increasing its revenue by offering advisory services to authoritarian regimes/occupations with poor human rights records, including the Al Khalifa occupation in .

The Institute has been working with Al Khalifa over the past 12 months on a "modernization program" similar to the Vision 2030 scheme that the think tank is helping craft for Saudi Arabia's occupation entity.

Thanks to its overseas clients, the Institute reportedly made around $140 million in revenues in 2023. The figure marks a 16% increase from 2022 and is more than triple the $45 million the think tank made in 2020.

’s activist Ali Muhanna was reportedly arrested after being ordered to appear for questioning by Al Khalifa occupation police earlier on Monday. Muhanna said in a post on X that he was summoned to take part in pro- protests.

Al Khalifa has jailed and tortured dozens of Bahrani people in recent months over their participation in demonstrations showing solidarity with Palestinians and demanding Al Khalifa sever ties with Israel amid the Gaza genocide.

Muhanna has been jailed in the past and is constantly harassed by Al Khalifa for demanding the release of his son and political prisoner Hussain Muhanna and for publicly criticizing Al Khalifa’s human rights abuses.

's Abdulhadi Al-Khawaja: Defending People of is Human, Moral and Religious Responsibility

Detained Bahrani human rights defender Abdulhadi Al-Khawaja said that people should notice that their humanitarian, moral and religious responsibility requires them to defend the Palestinian people.

In a series of audio messages from his cell in Jau Central Prison on the Palestinian issue, Al-Khawaja said: "15 or 18 years ago, we used to say that human rights defenders should not only defend people but teach them how to defend their rights, and this has had great results."

"I think this now is not only inaccurate, as people not only have to learn how to defend themselves, but they must consider that their human, moral and religious responsibility is to defend the rights of others, he noted. "If every human being around the world, whether in South America, Asia, Africa, feels that it is their responsibility to defend another human being, this will make a big difference."

He stressed that "If any people or human being experience what the Palestinian people is being subjected to, people will rush to defend them out of responsibility, not out of kindness."
