Fly in the Head is AUBG's literary magazine, founded by prof.

Michael Harris Cohen in 2004.The annual magazine publishes poetry and fiction by AUBG students and Balkan region writers in English.

I’m late on this post but delighted to announce the 2021 fiction winners for the 3rd annual Filitsa Mullen Creative Writing competition, judged by Olga Nikolova and yours truly.

1st place- “I Am Not There” by Kalina Panayotova

2nd place- “Bare” by Hayley Ngoc Mai Nguyen

Both stories will be published on AUBG Today and, later this summer, at Fly in the Head. Congratulations to the winners and thank you to all who entered.
