2025 was a fantastic year, thanks in no small part to my family, friends, and friends!
As an artist, I can always look back on a year filled with new music, new friends, and new collaborations, and that makes it all so wonderfully exciting. Can I conclude 2025 as the year of Reverend Basstorius
First of all, I'd like to mention the two performances as Distant Fires Burning at Soundskeyes, on January 11th and August 9th. Thanks, Nick Van Dijck and Peter Verwimp.
On April 3rd, a fantastic improvisation album was released as Silence Collapse with Vanishing Pictures and Maurice Charles Jj.

On May 2nd, Nevel released Subconscious Dubs, a beautiful collaborative album on which I added a bass line and some stabs to the track "We Are the Rhytm" as Reverend Basstorius.

On May 17th, Distant Fires Burning, as always, released a new anniversary track. This time, a tribute to Pete Namlook, Tetsu Inoue, and Arni "Futuregrapher" Gretar (Moatun7), who passed away earlier this year. All proceeds went to Te Gek!? Although the track is a free download on Bandcamp, she has already raised €68.

At the beginning of the summer (on July 3rd), our (Nevel & Reverend Basstorius) remix for Luc Van Acker was released.

And last but not least, the first single as Reverend Basstorius, "Soul Force," was released on October 23rd. The digital B-side is a fantastic Nevel Remix that reached number 5 on the M-Show on Radio Willy's list of best Belgian singles of 2025, thanks Marcel!

All in all, a fantastic year for music, and here's to 2026 for my performance as Distant Fires Burning on January 24th.
