In this video I wanted to tell the stories I hear every day at the desk of my daytime job at the social welfare center. The stories are devastating. Music has always been a way for me to deal with all the misery I encounter. Here it is not much less. I put these feelings in the music.
When I presented this to Pieter he came up with the lyrics, you hear now. I was blown away by them.
We felt it was gonna be hard to make a video for this track, but we really wated to. The video has been made with AI platform Kaiber. This because I have no images of the stories told to me and, if I had images, out of respect, I wouldn’t want to use them. The reality, we see around us, is hard enough. I went on to render these AI videos based on the stories, I had, and what came out was interesting, at most times grasped the content and at other times couldn’t get it more wrong. I left parts in it, I had doubts on, because the AI couldn't grasp the prompt I gave it. In that case it’s an analogy for the whole of society, because in my opinion all the hate and racism starts at misconception.
PS: The stunning guitarpart in this track is by the mighty Hassurbanipal!
